A photographer's Eye is Learned

To be or not to be a great photographer?  That is the question. Well, to be a great photographer that should be defined in the eye of the beholder. We cannot say exactly what is pleasing to all but definitely what is pleasing to most.  Close up images,  with great definition and clarity.  I see things as great shots that tell a story,  so posed portraits are not my favorite but they are loved by all.

Because of this,  the definition of a great photo is the ability to produce a beautiful image. Having the right exposure, composition,  lighting, etc.  So if a great photo is all those things,  then that should be what makes a great photographer.  That is only part of it.  The other part is being willing to take chances, be bold and calculated to go after that perfect shot.

I am known for always capturing the wedding bouquet toss.  I've had photos published for just that perfectly timed shot.

I think a great photographer is one that can get "that shot" and produce a technically sound picture. So learn your craft and make sure you get the shot you want.  Your clients should be able to look at your photos and say "I remember doing that" and all those good memories should soon follow.
